We start by mapping how people actually use the product today, not how the org chart assumes they do, then wireframe and prototype in Figma until the flow is obvious before a single line of production code is written. For AI-powered products specifically, that means designing for the parts a chat window can’t: showing an agent’s reasoning, giving users a graceful way to correct it, and making “the AI is working on it” feel like progress instead of a spinner.
